Gordon Suddaby and myself hosted a two day symposium in Sydney on the 23-24 January that involved the Presidents or nominee of collaborative partners: Australasian Council on Open and Distance Education ACODE, Australasian Society for Computers in Learning in Tertiary Education ascilite, Council of Australian Directors of Academic Development CADAD, Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia HERDSA and Open and Distance Learning Association of Australia ODLAA and enabling partners: Australia's Academic and Research Network AARnet, Netspot and Office of Learning and Teaching OLT.
The symposium had three key outcomes:
develop a constructive working relationship
develop a shared vision
develop an overarching program for the first year of the NNI
During the highly engaging and productive two days the group discussed all aspects of the two year project that focuses on enhancing higher education networks for the benefit of learning and teaching in higher education.
